HOW TO GET TO DRAKE BAY, COSTA RICA
Getting to Drake Bay is part of the adventure. Located in southern Costa Rica on the remote Osa Peninsula, the town is accessible by domestic flight, boat, or 4x4 vehicle.
You can fly from San José to Drake Bay in about one hour. Many travelers also take a boat transfer from Sierpe through the mangroves, a scenic and unforgettable arrival. Driving is possible during the dry season, but road conditions can be challenging.
The remoteness is exactly what keeps Drake Bay authentic and untouched.
